Science Flash: Research presented in a creative way

With ‘Science Flash’, the Medical University of Graz has showcased creative video contributions from its research units and the post-doc community

With its ‘Science Flash’ event format, the Medical University of Graz has created a platform for creative science communication. The aim was to make selected highlights from the ‘research workshops’ – particularly from the Research Units and the post-doc community – accessible to a wider audience.

The focus was on short video clips in which the heads of the Research Units, together with their teams, presented their research in innovative and unusual ways. The challenge was to present complex content in a maximum of three minutes in such a way as to spark curiosity, inspire and, at the same time, remain accessible.

The entries submitted impressively demonstrated just how diverse and creative the communication of research can be. This showcased not only scientific excellence but also the teamwork behind the projects. A particular highlight was the presentation of the top three entries, which were recognised during the event and awarded prize money.
