A delegation from the Medical University of Graz visited the University Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Inselspital Bern to learn about the latest developments in artificial intelligence and the possibilities offered by 7-Tesla imaging.

The University Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Inselspital Bern recently welcomed a delegation from the Medical University of Graz to Bern for a professional exchange. Hannes Deutschmann, Vice-Rector Manuela Groß and Christian Enzinger represented the Medical University of Graz at the event. The visit focused on current developments in AI-assisted image analysis and its use to support clinical decision-making. The guests gained insights into innovative projects as well as the integration of data-driven methods into routine neuroradiology. During a tour, the delegation was able to see how AI applications are already being used directly in daily diagnostic work, for example to assist with stroke diagnosis or the evaluation of complex MRI images. Another key focus was the 7-Tesla MRI at sitem-insel in the Translational Imaging Centre (TIC). It is used both in research and in selected clinical applications.

The visit provided a valuable platform for interdisciplinary dialogue and international knowledge transfer.
