Awards for female nephrologists at the Medical University of Graz

Catharina Hammerl (Division of Nephrology) took second place in the ‘Junge Niere’ competition with her presentation ‘Major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis: results from a European multicentre cohort study’ and will now have the opportunity to present her research at the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Nephrology in Leipzig. ‘Junge Niere’ is a forum for young researchers in the field of clinical and experimental nephrology. Thanks to the support of the German Society of Nephrology, this long-standing event – organised this year by Katharina Artinger and Konstantin Klötzer from the Division of Nephrology at the Medical University of Graz – has now been held in Graz for the third time.

This year, at the 63rd ERA Congress in Glasgow, Katharina Artinger was awarded the prestigious ERA Board of Trustees Prize for Young Researchers, which comes with a prize of 10,000 euros.
