Andrea Kurz: Top Styrian Women 2026

They are tough, they are courageous, they think and act in an exemplary and forward-looking way – they are the Top 333 Styrian Women of 2026! Brain, heart, humour – you can never have enough of these. And that is precisely why STEIRERIN highlights women who lead by example, who carry out their work with dedication and commitment, who are at the forefront of their industries, and who time and again make a name for themselves for all the right reasons or find themselves at the centre of media coverage. These are women at the helm of businesses, in politics, in media organisations, in male-dominated fields and in the entertainment industry, who deserve to be brought into the public spotlight. However, the Top 333 Styrian Women also serve as role models for all other Styrian women who go about their daily lives, juggling work and/or family, whilst never losing sight of the lightness of being or their sense of humour.

This year, our Rector Andrea Kurz was voted number 1 in the Top 333 Styrian Women 2026 by STEIRERIN. This award honours women who, with courage, commitment and vision, take on responsibility and make a lasting mark on their fields. We are delighted to receive this special recognition and warmly congratulate our Rector on this well-deserved honour. We are proud to be shaping the future of medicine, research and teaching at the Medical University of Graz alongside her.
