Med Uni Graz receives an outstanding rating in the THE World University Rankings 2027

In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, the Medical University of Graz achieved an excellent 221st place out of more than 2,200 institutions ranked worldwide. A look at the overall score achieved shows that the Medical University of Graz has managed to improve on its strong position from the previous year. The Medical University of Graz is the third-best out of a total of 14 Austrian institutions and the second-best-ranked medical university in Austria. 

The prestigious THE World University Rankings is the only global ranking that takes into account all the key roles and objectives of universities – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. This year, data from 2,297 research universities were used, and more than 96,000 responses to the academic surveys were analysed. For the analysis, THE examined more than 188 million citations relating to 19.9 publications over a total period of five years (bibliometric data from Elsevier).
